And during the pledge drive, Leo reminds the listeners that our Recycling Petition is also still moving ahead. With greater than 500 responses so far, we're getting closer to our 1,000 signature goal but we need your help and fast. Tell your family, friends, and colleagues to join the petition. The Recycling Petition has become more than just signatures, as the accompanying essay-like comments contain vibrant and inspiring depictions from the voices of people who are ready to take on the challenge of becoming a City that leads the way. The New Capital Show will make certain those voices will be heard as Leo plans to deliver it to the Mayor and the City Council, comments and all. As guest and NCS staff member Bob Wilkerson eloquently stated the basic KPFT tenets in standing for free speech and peace, we can keep those tenets alive by pledging to the station, signing the Recycling Petition, and keeping active.
