Abati mentioned "the AIDS hoax." What was meant by this? The AIDS deniers have been debunked in many venues. Surely he is not saying that the disease does not exist.
I read a book I believe titled the End of Oil which the author said he was part of a team the Bush administration took to Saudi Arabia to confirm that they have not peaked. He said that their largest oil field was using a method in which they pumped sea water into the well to keep it at a level so they could continue to pump it out of the well. This contaminates the oil with sea water and after a certain point you will have more sea water than oil making what ever is left in the well worthless. He said in the book that he was allowed to see what the sea water/oil ratio was currently at (just after 9/11 that is) and he said it was at 30% Sea Water. Now my understanding is that when they started pumping sea water into the well that was because the well was 50% drained. That is the point it becomes more expensive and more difficut to extract. Now 30% of what is left in the well after this point has beem extracted at the time of inspection and we are now five or six years into the future burning more oil than the year before every year since then (estemated at 2% more minimum each year).
